Sunday 9th January at about 6:30 pm strange lights were seen by several residents in Forden. The lights seemed to hover about 50 meters in the sky, flashing red and blue. One witness used his mobile at 1 am to contact someone official regarding the lights. By dawn the lights had disapeared. Nothing was seen until about dusk, where trhe same lights reappeared, stationary in the sky flashing red blue and white. The lights in the sky held the same position as the previous night. Late night workman working on the nearby railroad also witnessed the strange lights and were baffled.
